Another ‘Conspiracy Theory’ Now Validated by Johns Hopkins

In late January 2020, the lives of virtually every American started to change. No one could have predicted what was about to unfold. A deadly virus, because of shoddy safety protocols.
The result has been the most devastating health crisis in more than 100 years. For over two years now, COVID-19 has wreaked havoc on the human race. As deadly as the pandemic has been, terrible policy decisions by trusted officials have made things far worse.
One of the first policies bureaucrats thought was the only way to stop the spread of COVID was to lock down society. It not only didn’t do what it was intended to do, it caused more widespread harm than the virus. Now, research is proving these lockdowns actually made the spread worse.
There has been another dark side to these government-imposed stay-at-home orders. Mental health professionals insist it could be years before we know the actual emotional damage lockdowns cause.
A trio of Johns Hopkins professors, Jonas Herby, Lars Jonung, and Steve Hanke, just released a new study. The meta-analysis in this study says that lockdowns “had little to no effect on COVID-19 mortality.”
But power-hungry liberal bureaucrats kept mandating throughout the pandemic. Experts now insist that economic, social, educational and psychological consequences are far worse than any of the potential health benefits of locking everyone down.
Furthermore, the effect of lockdowns on reducing the mortality rate caused by COVID-19 was non-existent. All these bureaucratic buffoons did was to destroy businesses and displace normal society, without saving a single life.
The Hopkins research dug even deeper into the effects of lockdowns. They believe that lockdown mandates may very well have worsened the pandemic. Lockdowns force people to remain locked inside their homes.
Without sufficient testing available, many times, they are more likely to become infected with COVID or infect another member of their household family. It would have been safer to be in outdoor venues or at work if sufficient safety protocols were used.
With little to no health benefit, why did officials continue to order such lockdown mandates? Most believe it is to exercise power and control. What’s happened has been reprehensible. Despite negligible benefits, lockdowns have created massive social and economic destruction.
In March and April 2020 alone, over 22 million people lost their jobs. Many have yet to recover, nearly two years later. Because of the government-imposed isolation, mental health issues have skyrocketed. Suicide rates and other psychological problems are exploding.
Most mental health experts believe we will be dealing with these unnecessary and preventable consequences for many years. The Johns Hopkins researchers reached a clear conclusion. These experts insist that “Lockdowns should be rejected as a pandemic policy instrument.”
But what about all the damage these ignorant policies have already caused? Who will pay the mental health bills for struggling Americans? What’s even worse is that early in the pandemic there were those who said this was a terribly misguided and wrong approach.
These individuals were denounced as “against science”. Most were targeted for spewing misinformation or labeled as conspiracy theorists. The pandemic has been deadly and horrific, but the combination of abuse of power and the bureaucratic blunders have been the real killer.
