The rapid rise of global antisemitism is unprecedented. In 2013 to 2014, Antisemitic incidents increased nearly 400%.

By 2018, antisemitic incidents reached close to historic rates. In the U.S. alone, antisemitic assaults doubled with the deadliest attack against the Jewish community in American history. According to the Council Against Islamic Religious Hatred (CAIRH), sixteen of the world's most antisemitic countries are Muslim, where 74% to 93% exhibit extreme antisemitism. There is a 2 to 3-fold rise in extreme Muslim antisemitism globally; a 2 to 4.5-fold rise in it in Europe; and a 2.4-fold rise in it in the U.S.

This is not incidental. In 2013, 70% of the UN General Assembly resolutions for human rights violations were against the State of Israel. UN Watch reports that by 2017, 78% of them specifically condemned and targeted Israel.

A moral equivalency between Hamas — a designated terrorist group that deliberately targets Jewish children and uses its own as human shields — and Israel — a democratic sovereign state that defends itself but only to protect its cherished children — has become common place, most especially in the mainstream media. 

It is a hostile climate for world Jewry again. Jews in Denmark of all places, a country that refused to turn over its Jewish population to the Nazis and saved almost every last one from an uncertain fate, have been warned by Israeli and Denmark officials to conceal religious symbols and dress and not to speak Hebrew in public. This is due to a surge in antisemitic violent attacks, including against school-aged children. The same official warnings have been issued to Jews in Germany, Finland, Switzerland, Ukraine, Hungary, Belgium, and Poland. Greece, Italy, France, and certain parts of Britain are following closely behind. Many have begun to make their exodus out of Europe to Israel, and Denmark is nearly Judenrein ("Jew free") now.

Even the United States saw an astounding 60% rise in antisemitic incidents in 2017. According to the ADL (Anti Defamation League), this marked a record 57% increase from the year before — the highest increase in a single year since 1979, when it began to track antisemitism. This trajectory continued in 2018, which marked the third highest rise in a year of antisemitic incidents since the ADL began to record them.

Yet, these figures only reflect those reported and then recorded, and the ADL tends to focus solely on white, "right-wing" individuals and groups. In reality, much of the recent rise in antisemitism is attributable to the left's influence and infusion of it into our major institutions, as is reflected by the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s list of top 10 anti-Semitic incidents in 2018. Regardless from whence it comes, Jewish hate crimes in America surpass any other group and have remained at the top of the list in the U.S. alone since the FBI first began compiling and reporting hate crime statistics.

Emboldened by the media's demonization of Israel and the Saudi funding of multicultural study centers and programs, which has precipitated administrative complicity, Islamic-sponsored groups such as Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), the Muslim Student Association (MSA), and the BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions against Israel) movement have penetrated college campuses and are indoctrinating our youth with lies that deny Jewish history and the Holocaust and that portray Israel as an apartheid state. This has created a hostile environment for Jewish youth, where harassment, intimidation, and physical threats and attacks by these groups are tolerated and have become predominantly permissible. Under the guise of human rights, morality, and opposition to Israel's policies, as well as under the safety of political correctness, they are targeting Jews throughout the world and have waged an all out economic, intellectual, and creative war against them. 

Anti-Zionism is just an excuse for antisemitism. Jewish hatred did not abate simply because of a Holocaust. The Jewish people have been scapegoated and persecuted for thousands of years. Antisemitism just went further underground, at least for a few decades, and we are now witnessing once again Kristallnacht (the "Night of Broken Glass"), only this time on a global scale, and it is our human obligation to resist and stop it. As Martin Niemöller wisely proclaimed in his 1946 speech,"First They Came,"

America's Civil War Rising monitors antisemitic events, incidents, demonstrations, and media bias. While we maintain an online presence, social media also has worked against us. It has provided a public platform for antisemitic propaganda to influence those who are ripe, planting the seeds of hatred due to the lack of accurate information and knowledge. It has also afforded terrorist groups a breeding ground to recruit.
