EYES ON ECONOMIC JIHAD: THE BDS 101
The Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement is the modern-day equivalent to Kristallnacht – the "Night of the Broken Glass," when a protracted Nazi campaign against German Jews led to the demonization, dehumanization, and subsequent boycott and destruction of Jewish property and businesses – but on a global scale.
The BDS is a global movement that exclusively singles out and demonizes Israel as a pariah state, lodging intellectual, economic, and creative warfare against world Jewry. It deceptively operates under the pretense of opposition to Israel’s political policies by campaigning and bullying others to boycott Israel, its products, services, and even entertainers from all over the world who dare to perform not only in Israel but elsewhere too. The BDS has infiltrated academia to indoctrinate our youth on college campuses with lies about Israel and Jewish history and sends youthful inciters to agitate against Israel inside Israel and in PA-controlled areas of Judea and Samaria.
In reality, anti-Jewish boycotts by Arabs date back to the 1920s and 1930s, well before Israel was reconstituted. As Professor William Jacobson of Legal Insurrection points out in "The Real History of the BDS Movement," it was just repackaged to appeal to western liberals.
America's Civil War Rising keeps a close watch on the BDS. We monitor and report on antisemitic campus events, incidents, demonstrations, and media bias all over the world. While we maintain an online presence, social media (or more accurately, the censorship police) has worked against us. It has provided a public platform for antisemitic propaganda to influence those who are ripe, planting seeds of hatred due to the lack of accurate information and knowledge. It has also afforded terrorist groups a breeding ground to recruit.
