Donald Trump Jr. ripped American politicians for voting to send billions of dollars worth of assistance to Ukraine as the United States bows beneath the weight of hyperinflated prices on goods and services.
“You can’t find baby formula in the United States right now but Congress is voting today to send $40 billion to Ukraine,” he tweeted on Tuesday. “Let’s put America First for a change.”
According to a report from Axios, Congress reached a deal on Monday to send $39.8 billion in both military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine, and the bill will now move to the House for a possible vote on Tuesday. The legislation comes in light of the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine in Eastern Europe.

However, many Americans see the appropriation of billions of dollars toward a foreign country as a questionable use of domestic funds in light of the current economic landscape. For example, the Bureau of Labor and Statistics released new data in March that revealed inflation had hit a 40-year high – and things have only gotten worse since then.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., ripped Congress’ decision to strike a deal and move the legislation toward a bipartisan vote.
“We swore an oath to serve the United States of AMERICA,” she said on Twitter. “Not the United States of Ukraine. American mothers can’t buy baby formula, deadly fentanyl from Mexican cartels is killing record numbers of Americans, & farmers are on the verge of going out of business. Focus on HOME!”
