Ilhan Omar Ripped by Fellow Dem Over Support of Hamas Terrorists

By Martin Walsh | Conservative Brief | May 18, 2021

Minnesota Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar is in big trouble after she voiced her support for Palestine over Israel.

Former New York State Assemblyman Dov Hikind went absolutely scorched-earth on Omar for supporting the Hamas terrorist group.

Canada, the European Union, Israel, Japan, and the United States classify Hamas as a terrorist organization.

“Israeli air strikes killing civilians in Gaza is an act of terrorism. Palestinians deserve protection. Unlike Israel, missile defense programs, such as Iron Dome, don’t exist to protect Palestinian civilians,” Omar tweeted.

In response to Omar’s characterization of Israeli missile strikes in Gaza as an “act of terrorism,” the fiercely pro-Israel Hikind issued a scathing reply to this inflammatory suggestion.

Hikind, who replied with a video showing an armed Israeli police officer fend off stone-throwing rioters who The Times of Israel reported had been attacking a Jewish man who had wrecked his car after being targeted by the mob in Jerusalem on Monday.

“AND WHAT DO WE SEE IN THIS VIDEO, YOU DISINGENUOUS FAKER OF A ‘HUMANITARIAN’? HUH?” the former lawmaker replied to Omar’s tweet.

“A WALK IN THE PARK? OR A FREAKIN LYNCHING!!! WHY ARE YOU SILENT ABOUT VIOLENCE AGAINST JEWS?!?!?! IS THAT BECAUSE NO JEW IS INNOCENT FOR YOU?!?!”

According to The Wall Street Journal, Hamas has attacked Israel with more than 600 rockets since Monday, including one barrage of 137 missiles in less than five minutes amid land disputes over territory in East Jerusalem that could evict a half-dozen Palestinian families.

Many of these rocket attacks have slammed civilians, as the Israeli Defense Force made clear in a tweet:

Omar’s tweet came in response to Palestinian claims that 20 Palestinians, including nine children, were killed by Israeli airstrikes.

The report Omar cited omitted Israel’s claim that the airstrikes were targeting militants who fired missiles into Israel and that 11 Hamas terrorists were reportedly killed.

The Hamas attack was aimed at Jerusalem, where Palestinians have rioted in recent days, at the instigation of Palestinian terror groups and political leaders.

A Palestinian mob attempted to lynch an Israeli driver.

Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system intercepted many — though not all — of more than 150 rockets fired by Palestinians on Monday night.

Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rashida Tlaib, also members of the Squad, joined in on Omar’s defense of Hamas’s actions.

Tlaib, who has even more extreme views than Rep. Omar about Israel, said Monday that the U.S. should not give billions of dollars in military aid to Israel, because of its alleged “racism and dehumanization.”

Republicans, and supporters of Israel, have taken issue with the comments from the “Squad,” including Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz, who accused Omar of serving as “press secretary” for Hamas.

“Why is a Member of Congress acting as the press secretary for Hamas? Does Biden agree?” Cruz tweeted.

Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene went after the “Squad” on Tuesday over their preposterous tweets and comments.

Greene took to Twitter to refer to Democrats known as the “Squad” as the “Jihad Squad” and said they don’t belong in Congress due to their recent defense of Hamas.

“The Jihad Squad, @IlhanMN @RashidaTlaib @AOC doesn’t think Israel has the right to defend itself from terrorists Hamas when they fire rockets into Israel. They also support terrorists Antifa/BLM who attack Americans. Members who support terrorism don’t belong in Congress,” Greene tweeted.

The Squad has been widely criticized for slamming Israel’s response to rocket attacks from Hamas.
