National Guard troops are to be kept in Washington D.C. until mid march, according to a Politico report, with sources claiming that the soldiers will stay until the Democrats’ second attempt at impeachment of President Trump is complete.
The report claims that 7,000 troops will remain until the trial gets underway in February, after which 5,000 will stay until it condoles, which is likely to be six weeks later.
The official justification for keeping troops around the Capitol is “impeachment security concerns,” according to the report.
However, the Guard have been given virtually no information about what they are required to do, with one soldier describing the situation as “very unusual for any military mission.”
As we reported last week, thousands of the troops were forced to sleep OUTSIDE and in a parking Garage near the Capitol building after a Democratic lawmaker complained that ONE guardsmen was not wearing a face mask.

“For the last week my battalion has been sleeping on the floor in the Senate cafeteria. Today the Senate kicked us out & moved us to a cold parking garage.
5000 soldiers.
1 power outlet.
One bathroom.
This is how Joe Biden’s America treats solders.”

Even though they were eventually let back into the Capitol building, thousands of the troops are sleeping on the cold hard floor between shifts.
Am seeing a LOT of these pics, of National Guard troops having to sleep on the FLOOR of the Capitol in DC.

Really now, can't such a rich and prosperous nation be able to at least provide these soldiers cots? Maybe one of the billionaires can buy them all nice air mattresses. pic.twitter.com/DeD8hhd9Bc
Owen exposes the reality of those in the national guard and how they are dealing with the tyrannical mandates of the Biden administration.
The troops are not happy about being kept in close confinement, with hundreds of them having contracted COVID-19. Food is also in short supply, according to the troops.
“Even if they do arrive all on time, the calories are just not there for the amount of work we put in and time we’re spending on our feet, in the cold, in full gear,” one soldier said.
Another solider slammed the shameful conditions they are being forced to live in, saying “Quite frankly this is not a ‘combat zone’, so combat conditions shouldn’t apply.”
Republicans have accused Democrats of using the troops as a prop for ‘security theater’.
Appearing on Fox News Friday, Florida’s Ron DeSantis said “They’re soldiers, they are not Nancy Pelosi’s servants.”
Along with DeSantis, Greg Gianforte of Montana, Chris Sununu of New Hampshire, and Greg Abbott of Texas have all announced they are ordering their troops home in the wake of the mistreatment.
“This is the most offensive thing I’ve ever heard. No one should ever question the loyalty or professionalism of the Texas National Guard,” Abbott tweeted. “I authorized more than 1,000 to go to DC. I’ll never do it again if they are disrespected like this.”
“I’ve ordered the immediate return of all New Hampshire National Guard from Washington DC. They did an outstanding job serving our nation’s capital in a time of strife and should be graciously praised, not subject to substandard conditions,” Sununu added.
