Michigan And Nevada Have Now Declared ‘Racism’ A ‘Public Health Crisis.’ This State Might Soon Join Them.

TEA/PARTY/247 | August 6, 2020

So the states of Michigan and Nevada have decided that “racism” is now a “public health crisis.” Some of us say that violent rioting, looting, and assaulting police officers is a “public health crisis,” so how about we ban those things?

Oh. That’s right. These things are already illegal. But given that fact, why are so many people across the country are allowed to continue doing these things without fear of consequences? Maybe it has a little something to do with the old left-wing adage, “never let a crisis go to waste?”

Anyway, it seems there might be another state joining these two in making such a declaration. It seems Colorado is well on their way to embracing the madness of political correctness as well.

Here’s more from The Daily Wire:

Michigan Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer created a Black Leadership Advisory Council to “elevate Black voices” and reportedly push state employees to undergo implicit bias training.

“Today, I also signed an executive directive declaring racism as a public health crisis in Michigan,” Whitmer said on Wednesday. “We have a lot of work to do to eradicate the systemic racism that black Americans have faced for generations, and it’s going to take time. But the most important thing we can do during this time is work closely with leaders across the state, in every community, to find the root cause of problems and work to eradicate them.”

In Nevada, Democrat Governor Steve Sisolak signed a proclamation on Wednesday that also declared that racism was a public health crisis.

“Institutional and systemic racism has gone on far too long in this country and in this State. Based on research, we are taking a proactive approach in joining fellow leaders around the country to declare racism as a public health crisis,” Sisolak announced. “I am grateful to be joined by the Nevada Legislature in recognizing that racism manifests in measurable ways, including in public health. I look forward to working with Nevada leaders and the Office of Minority Health and Equity on this critical issue.”

The Denver Post published a report last week stating that employees working for the Colorado health department had forced the issue and as a result, Democrats are all set up to declare racism a public health crisis in response “to ongoing social-justice protests and the inequities highlighted by the coronavirus pandemic.”

I don’t know about you, but I’m totally ready to get off this ride now.

“Since June, employees at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment have pressed Executive Director Jill Hunsaker Ryan to make such a public declaration and became increasingly frustrated when she didn’t move faster to do so,” The Post added. “When asked this week about those internal conversations, Hunsaker Ryan told The Denver Post the state will join the American Public Health Association in declaring racism a public health crisis, and that will become formal policy within the health department.”

The left in America has done a bang up job of convincing the vast majority of the population that systemic racism in this country is still a thing. It isn’t. Not even a little bit. It was dismantled a long time ago. And our nation has been stronger for it. This is the land of opportunity and a person’s skin color shouldn’t matter in the slightest.

We’re all Americans. We all should have equal rights under the law. Sure, our legal system is extremely flawed and broken, thanks in large part to Democratic legislation and policy, but that can easily be fixed. We don’t need to burn the world to the ground over something that doesn’t even exist.

Here’s to hoping one day, Americans get back to treating each other like normal human beings without walking on eggshells around each other and judging one another by race.
