Pentagon Launches Investigation Into Trump – SWAMP FEVER, AGAIN!

DEEP STATE RABBIT HOLE | By Anastasia Boushee | February 24, 2021

In yet another instance of the Democrats using the swamp to attack Donald Trump, the Pentagon has launched an investigation into the former president’s decision to move the Space Command from Colorado Springs to Huntsville, Alabama.

The decision, made in the final week of his first term, received bipartisan outrage in Colorado, a state that has been steadily moving further left over the past few elections.

Republican Representative Doug Lamborn, of Colorado Springs, referred to Trump’s decision as a “fundamentally flawed process that focused on bean-counting.”

Defense One notes that “Colorado Springs is also the headquarters of U.S. Northern Command and North American Aerospace Defense Command, or NORAD, charged with warning of incoming aircraft, missiles, or space vehicles, which uses satellites to detect incoming intercontinental ballistic missiles. Huntsville is the home of the U.S. Missile Defense Agency. It is also less than one hundred miles from the district of Rep. Mike Rogers, R-AL., one of the key proponents of the U.S. Space Force and the incoming ranking minority member of the House Armed Services Committee.”

Of course, the left thinks that this decision was somehow criminal, rather than simply a business decision that likely involved multiple factors.

“On Friday, the inspector general’s office announced it was investigating whether the relocation complied with Air Force and Pentagon policy and was based on proper evaluations of competing locations,” The Huffington Post reported.

There were several decisions made by President Trump surrounding relocating federal agencies that the left attempted to portray as controversial or scandalous. Most of them failed. One major example was Trump’s decision to relocate approximately 200 Bureau of Land Management employees from Washington, D.C. to offices in the Western United States. The left tried to claim that this was some sort of plot to force career bureaucrats out of their jobs.
