Ilhan Omar was booed right off the stage by a crowd of thousands of Somali-Americans. The concert in Minneapolis that night was supposed to be celebrating Somali Independence Day. It featured a popular Somali singer Suldaan Seeraar. At the Target Center Omar was booed and cursed at for at least ten minutes even as others on stage tried to settle them down. You could even hear “Get out!”, “Get lost!”, “Get the f*** out of here!” and “Shut the f*** up”.
