Rep. Lee Zeldin Announces his Run for Governor to “Save NY” from Cuomo and Asks for Support

In an effort to save New York from who some have dubbed New York’s “Serial Governor,” Republican Congressman Lee Zeldin, representative of New York’s District 1, has announced his run for its Governor.

Early this morning, Rep. Zeldin posted on his Twitter account, ” I’m running for Governor of NY in 2022. To save NY,” and added the hashtag #CuomosGottaGo!

While Zeldin accuses New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo of corruption, abuse of power, coverups, “self-congratulatory” book deals, and “self-dealing,” his love and passion for his home state exude. As he promises to fight for New York, he describes it as the Empire State that historically for 250 years has been a beacon of progress, patriotism, and hope to the rest of the country — a state where opportunity was plentiful and Washington led the Continental Army from Manhattan, Lincoln delivered the “Cooper Union speech,” and Americans overcame 9/11 and came together to rebuild New York City.

With 1-party Dem rule in NYC & Albany, the light that was a beacon of what America can be has gone dark. The NY once a magnet for the world’s best & brightest is now forcing its own to leave under the weight of crushing taxes, lost jobs, suffocating regulations, & rising crime.

Without mincing words, Zeldin goes on to blame Cuomo and the one-party Democrat rule in New York City and Albany for forcing New Yorkers out with “crushing taxes,” “lost jobs,” “suffocating regulations,” and rising crime and fingers Cuomo directly for leading New York down a “dark” path with a “deadly nursing home order,” a history of scandals, coverups, lies, harassment, and betrayals.

At the helm of NY’s downfall is Andrew Cuomo, whose deadly nursing home order & cover-up is part of a long line of scandals, lies, & harassment. Cuomo has abused the power & trust granted to him & it's time for him to immediately exit stage left.

“I’m ready to go all in on this mission and bring New York back from the brink and return it to glory,” tweets Zeldin, who asks for donations and involvement at his website, zeldinfornewyork.com.
