Trump Launches New Site: ‘From The Desk of Donald J. Trump’
BY LISA MICHELLE
President Donald J. Trump has just launched a new website, From the Desk of Donald J. Trump, with a section for posts and another for statements.
In typical Trump style, he doesn’t mince words. His second most recent post from May 3, 2021 reads,
Heartwarming to read new polls on big-shot warmonger Liz Cheney of the great State of Wyoming. She is so low that her only chance would be if vast numbers of people run against her which, hopefully, won’t happen. They never liked her much, but I say she’ll never run in a Wyoming election again!
The homepage or “Desk” features a newsfeed that is fashioned after social media platforms like Twitter with brief, consecutive posts. When selected, the individual post feed is isolated, but the site has its limitations.
At the moment, the posts can only be shared on Facebook and Twitter, which could prove to narrow their circulation. Many of Trump’s supporters, including me, have had their accounts suspended by those social media platforms. There is also the obvious question whether or not Facebook and Twitter will even allow Donald Trump’s feed to be shared or whether they’ll ban and suspend users who attempt to share posts from it.
The other section, “News,” is comprised of statements by Donald J. Trump, “45th President of the United States.” The most recent, which is dated May 3, 2021, is no more subtle than his May 3rd post above:
“The Fraudulent Presidential Election of 2020,” Trump states, “will be, from this day forth, known as THE BIG LIE!”
Indeed! We at this site have been using that phrase well before the 2020 election. In fact, it’s displayed on our homepage.
“The Big Lie” is fitting, and the site tagline, “Save America,” is more than merely a slogan . . .
One America News also reports,
President Trump has launched a new website to deliver the latest updates from his office to the American people. . . . The website is called: From the Desk of Donald J. Trump. The President has posted statements and opinions on the state of U.S. affairs to advance his ‘Save America’ program.
President Trump said the website will develop as ‘the beacon of free speech,’ although it doesn’t appear to work as a social media platform as of now.
