The crusaders had been defeated in the Holy Lands, and the Muslims immediately seized Saladin’s dream of world conquest. They would take the fight to the crusaders’ homes. Osmun quoted the Quran 2:191:“[D]rive them out from where they drove you out.” His successor continued the fight, and so began the Ottoman Empire.
Once again, Muslims were aided in their jihad by shortsighted Christians (just like today). Too many weak Christians made business deals with the Ottomans—money over principle. The Byzantine emperor hired mercenaries to fight. However, they went to the Turks to ask them to help eliminate the Christians, so as to eliminate the Byzantine employers with whom they quarreled. It got so bad that in 1345 John VI Cantacuzenus asked for help from the Turks but had to give the Muslim his daughter in marriage to seal the agreement. John VI had to agree or he would lose his imperial throne. Many detested this, since a Christian woman would be given to the very people who were trying to destroy the Christian empire for 700 years. Again, money and power overrode principles.
Later, the Muslim Orkhan insisted that his treaty with Christians must allow him to sell prisoners of war in Constantinople. Adding insult to injury, a large crowd of naked Christian male and female slaves were exposed in the marketplace, and Christians watched it happen out of fear. They were mere vassals to the Muslims. As commanded by the Quran, Orkhan used deceit and switched sides, broke the treaty, and aided the Genoese against the Byzantines.
By 1357, the jihadis had captured Adrianople, Constantinople, and Thessalonica. Twenty percent of the Christian young boys who had been captured in the Ottoman Empire were forced to convert and, in accordance with Islamic law, were made warriors for the Ottomans.
By the 17th century, 200,000 boys had been enslaved to fight. They were called “janissaries” (Christian slave boys) and would become the most formidable warriors against Christianity. Their own children became their enemy.
In 1362 the Muslim leader, Murad proclaimed himself caliph of all Muslims. That didn’t go over well to some, since many factions of Muslims were vying for that same seat of power.
On June 15, 1389, the jihadis fought for Kosovo and, using primarily the janissaries, defeated the Slavonian tribes.
As a side note, the Christian vassal John V Paleogus’ son, Andronicus, and the Muslim leader Murad’s son, Sauzes, were friends, but they were too friendly and apparently had an “intimate and guilty friendship.” Murad demanded that both boys be blinded, and John V complied out of fear. John V died in 1390, and it was attributed to the constant humiliation by his Muslim counterpart, Bayezid (Murad’s successor). Bayezid proclaimed himself sultan of the Roman Empire—more territory for Islam.
As all this occurred and Europe was disunited as usual, the Muslims took the Byzantines as vassals and gained Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia, Macedonia, Albania, Croatia, and more.
Through all this one can see a pattern of conquest, broken treaties, killing, sex slaves, etc., for world conquest. There will always be war with Islam until the world submits to Sharia (Quran 9:29, Quran 2:216, Quran 4:89, Muslim 001,0031, Bukhara 4,52,142).
