In 1452 Murad II’s son, Mehmet II, succeeded his father as Sultan. After over 700 years of fighting, they conquered the city in May 29, 1453. They killed everyone in the streets—men, women, and children—raped virgins, took all the gold and silver they could find, and made slaves of a few. They entered the Hogia Sophia, which for 1,000 years was a Christian church, and stole and destroyed everything that was Christian. They now take credit for its grandeur.
When the city was taken, Mehmet turned his attention on a young boy. He ordered Notaras to bring his good looking 14-year-old boy to come to him for his sexual pleasure. He refused, and Mehmet ordered the beheading of both the father and son and placed their heads on his banquet table. So much for a peaceful religion and morality!
I entered the Hogia Sophia on a trip to Turkey a few years ago, and the barrenness and feeling of oppression still exists today. Supposedly, Mohammad said that some day Constantinople and then Rome would be taken.
It seems the present Pope is playing with fire. He entertains Imams and Islamic leaders as friends, while nothing could be further from the truth, and history is replete with the evidence thereof. He needs a history lesson. Islam seeks to destroy every vestige of Christianity. Friendship is always temporary, until they have the numbers to defeat their hosts. It is a well played out theme everywhere they go, and it is still evident.
This was exposed during the 2008 Holy Land Foundation Trials in Texas, when the Muslim Brotherhood’s plan to destroy North America was discovered during a 2004 federal search and seizure of Ismael Elbarasse’s home. Elbarasse, a founder of the Dar Al-Hijrah mosque in Falls Church, Virginia, was a member of the Palestine Committee, a U.S.-based Muslim Brotherhood front group and arm of Hamas. The plan was written in 1991 by the Muslim Brotherhood and is being implemented in America as we speak. It outlines their plan to destroy North America from within by infiltrating our organizations and institutions—through immigration without assimilation, involvement in our schools, politics, the sciences, the arts, high rates of reproduction, etc.—with the ultimate goal of eliminating our Constitution, imposing sharia law, and eventually dominating the world.
As the result of the conquest of Constantinople, many Greek intellectuals immigrated to Western Europe. This led to the renaissance of philosophy and literature—the likes of which the world had never seen. Islam destroys. Christians build and allow education and culture to flourish—not Islam!
In a weak attempt in 1455, Pope Calixtus III vowed to take back Constantinople with another crusade. It failed. Mehmet next set his eyes on Eastern Europe, as well as Bosnia, Hungary, and Venice. Venice fought fiercely and dashed those dreams.
To give you an idea of the crass, barbaric behavior of the Sultans/Islam, Mehmet in 1481 made a new law (another change) for one of his sons, who would become Sultan, could lawfully put his brothers to death, and it was approved by the majority of Islamic jurists.
Wherever the Sultans went, they degraded non-Muslim. In exchange for their lives and certain protections under Islamic law, Christians and Jews were relegated to dhimmitude status and treated worse than second-class citizens. They could not walk on the same side of the street as Muslims, hold higher offices, or erect buildings and places of worship that stood higher than those of their Muslim counterparts. Christians were forced to be marked with blue turbans and Jews with yellow turbans. (Sound familiar?) If they rode horses, they had to ride with one leg underneath them, and, eventually, they were not allowed to ride horses or mules at all. Their humiliation was compounded by a mandatory payment of the “jizya” ( life tax).
Often, non-Muslims would be forced to stand in a group in the lowest, dirtiest place where, one at a time, they would be dragged before the acting official, receive a blow, and thrust aside to make the infidels think their lives were spared—total humiliation while paying them a large portion of their earnings just for the right to live under submission to their Muslim benefactors. As a result of this oppression, many converted to Islam to avoid the “dhimmitude” status.
Following this, the Sultans took their fight once again to India and China— but that’s another story for Part 10 of this series.

India and China Ravaged (Part 10)
By the 14 century, Islam had amassed unimaginable wealth from India. The killing was brutal under the Sultans. Executions were carried out right in front of the Delhi’s emissary/palace to such an extent that the entrance to the palaces were often blocked by corpses.
