WHAT IS RAMADAN?

Ramadan is a month when Muslims fast from water and food from sunrise to sunset. They can eat between sunset to sunrise. They are supposed to refrain from sex, pray to Allah, not go to war, give alms, seek Allah and hope for a visitation or vision from Allah. Its roots are in the story that Mohammad, while in a cave, was visited by a deity who gave him the first books of the Quran. It is the time when Mohammed’s religion went from peaceable to radical. It is the holiest of days for Muslims.
Mohammed grew up in Mecca. Mecca was the epicenter for religious pilgrimages at the time because in Mecca was the Kabah, which was a cubical building with all the gods in it. It contained 360 gods, as well as a picture of Jesus and Mary. Mohammed picked the moon god worshiped by his father and made that god the only god. That did not go over well with the other god worshipers; hence, Mohammed fled to Medina where he became a politician and war lord. He would return in a few years and kill all those who wouldn’t submit to his religion and to him as Allah’s prophet.
In short, Muslims are mimicking Mohammad’s encounter and hoping for the same encounter by fasting and praying. If they get one, they are assured of heaven and their sins forgiven. If they don’t get one, they have no idea if they will go to heaven. It just depends on how Allah feels at the time. Three years after his “encounter,” Mohammed said it was the angel Gabriel that he encountered. His own secretary (he could not read or write) was killed by Mohammed for doubting his visions were from god.
The problem with Islam is that Allah is not a relational god like Jesus Christ. Allah demands obedience and one to be his slave as Mohammed testified and claimed to be. It demands submission and the killing of infidels. The last ten days of Ramadan is when they are really looking for this encounter. If they don’t get it, there is then only one true way to get to their heaven of 72 virgins, and that is to kill infidels for the cause of Allah through jihad.
Even though they are not supposed to go to war during Ramadan, that is precisely the time we see increases in killing and war. Imams in Iran are calling for jihad during Ramadan. Why? It’s a sure way to heaven. How different from Christianity where Christ paid the price and, if you trust in Christ as your savior, you can be sure of your salvation. Plus, He desires a relationship with his believers. Mohammed is dead. His grave is well known. Christ is alive and has no grave.
Muslims believe that Ishmael was Abraham’s first born, and he was the child of promise. Not true! Muslims believe in the Old Testament. In that Old Testament when Hagar became pregnant with Ishmael, she mocked Sarah, Abraham’s wife, who at the time was barren. Sarah sent her away with Abraham’s blessing, but God heard her cries and told her to return back to her mistress and be subservient. God promised Hagar that Ishmael’s descendants would be many, but according to Genesis 16:12, Ishmael would be a wild man dwelling in the presence of all his brethren whose hand would be against every man and every man’s hand against him. Nothing has changed. The descendants of Ishmael are the Muslims, and the prophecy has and is yet to be fulfilled.
Many Muslims are coming to Christ. Their visions are not of Allah but of Christ. The Arab spring has made 20 million Muslim refugees, and they are becoming dissatisfied with Islam. They are being disenfranchised with promises made but not received. Imams in Iran are calling for war during Ramadan, and many are sick of a never-ending war. Iran is afraid of losing power. The Saudis are afraid of losing power, since America, under Trump, has become energy independent. We are now seeing countries like the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar and even Saudi Arabia seeking help from Israel. Never before has such a thing happened. Never before has Ramadan, Easter and Passover been so close to each other in time.
Radical congresswomen like Tlaib and Omar are actually hurting the cause of Muslims in America. America sees this as the typical Muslim. It causes distrust and fear of Muslims in general. Muslims who want out of the archaic sharia law are being lost by radicals and their actions.
Presently, America is under assault by the civilization jihad of Islam. Deceit is what Muslims are taught to do to accomplish the goal of worldwide sharia and the umma. The enemy within now wear suits and ties. They are jihadi businessmen, doctors, engineers, etc., whose goals are seen in politics, schools and law enforcement. Remember, sharia is 67% about jihad, and Islam is primarily (86%) about doing what Mohammed did. What did he do? He killed, raped, pillaged, and somewhere between 300-500 million people have died as a result of his ideas playing out for 1400 years. Please remember, according to Islam, you cannot please Allah without Jihad.
So as the Muslims pray and seek Allah during Ramadan, we should be praying that they receive a visitation from the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob and come to a saving knowledge of Christ. The church of Christ as well has been negligent in defending its heritage in schools and has allowed Islam’s history to be redacted in school books, thereby allowing the lies of Islam to be entrenched in the next generation. This is caused by ignorance of what Islam is and how it operates through deceit, terror and killing. The church must wake up, understand Islam and be prepared to stand up for Christ, and they won’t be able to unless they have a thorough understanding of Islam and its fallacious, inconsistent beliefs. Christ wants all men to be saved. Islam wants only Muslims to be saved.
